Hurray!

Today marks International Fluevog Day – an occasion to celebrate marvelous shoes hewn from magic, an opportunity to partake in the generosity of an abundant local brand and a perfect excuse to go shopping!

May 15th is a day every well informed Fluevoger marks on their calendar in red, blue, teal and sometimes, glitter. After all, International Fluevog Day combines the love of Valentine’s Day, the excitement of New Year’s Eve and the fellowship of St. Patrick’s Day into one ultimate celebration of unique soles for unique souls.

Everyone is welcome to celebrate with the Fluevog crew in the Water Street store to experience all of the Fluevog Day festivities, limited edition giveaways, deals and surprises they can pack into a single day! Whether there’s a pair of soles or two you’ve been eyeing, or you’re simply in need of some quality time with a friendly Fluevogologist, spend May 15th at Fluevog and you’ll be a part of the greatest shoe shopping day of the year! 

It all began in Gastown

The empire that is Fluevog began back in 1970, right here in Gastown with the very first shop named Fox and Fluevog.

After spending a summer hitchhiking down the west coast and witnessing the 1960s Social Revolution first hand, John returned to his hometown of Vancouver and began working for Sheppard’s Shoes. In 1970, he joined forces with fellow co-worker Peter Fox to start up their own shoe store in historic Gastown.
