We are taking our ‘This Is Not a Band’ format to the next level by featuring one of our favourite singers of all time, Ms. Dawn Pemberton. Backed by a group instrumentalists who have not yet all performed together, Dawn is going to bring the Funk and Soul to 2018 like only she can while backed by a killer band.
We’ve decided that for NYE this year, we would abstain from a high-priced ticketed event and all that one would entail. No bells and whistles, just great music and great company like any night at Guilt & Co. Ring in 2018 in world-class culinary style while taking part in Vancouver’s most exclusive dining experience as No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews hosts a special New Year’s Eve edition on Sunday, December 31 at 7 p.m.
During the exclusive New Year’s Eve dinner service, renowned restaurateur and L’Abattoir co-owner Paul Grunberg will host eight VIP guests for a true epicurean experience unlike any other. Chefs Lee Cooper and Jack Chen will prepare a 10-course, French-via-West-Coast menu highlighting ingredients such as Black Winter Truffles, Foie Gras and Acadian Sturgeon Caviar. Dishes will be paired with Pierre Péters nv Pinot Meunier + ’Albane’ Rosé Brut Champagne, Chateau La Fleur Morange ’09 Merlot ‘Mathilde’ St. Emilion and other outstanding bottles.
Guests will also be treated to an elegant pre-event welcome package mailed in advance, a champagne reception, custom table settings and décor, and an array of take-home gifts including petit fours, a subscription to lifestyle magazines NUVO and Montecristo and a half-bottle of champagne to uncork when the clock strikes midnight.
