STEAM CLOCK RETURNS
One of Vancouver’s busiest attractions was away for the holidays to receive some much-needed repairs to its interiors. After a little vacation at the fabrication shop, the Steam Clock will return to its post at the corner of Cambie & Water St on Tuesday January 20th. Check back with us tomorrow for full details on its grand return.
RODNEY’S OYSTER HOUSE NOW SERVING BRUNCH
if you’re a weekend warrior looking for a new brunch spot, check out the mid-day menu at Rodney’s Oyster House. The crew is offering a seafood-loving brunch menu of crab cake eggs benedict, smoked salmon croquet madame, alongside Zydeco Stew, the Rodney’s version of a bloody caesar, and a classic Mimosa. Brunch is available on Saturdays and Sundays, 11:30am-3pm.
SOFT PEAKS ICE CREAM SOFT OPENING
A twist on milk has come to 25 Alexander Street. Soft Peaks is premiering organic milk soft serve, a first of its kind in Vancouver.
The special Soft Peaks recipe is made with Avalon Organic Milk, a touch of sweetness, and is then churned to smooth perfection. The result is a refreshing and creamy dessert that is all natural, and lower in calories and fat than ice cream.
Premium toppings, like a fresh piece of Okanagan honeycomb, have been crafted for perfect pairings. Catch a glimpse of their new space and try their soft serve on Thursdays through Sundays, 1pm-9pm. Soft Peak will unveil their full menu at the grand opening launch on February 6th. In the meantime, you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates.

Whether it’s a new pair of extra-long denim, or an edgy update to an old favourite, Dutil is offering a chain stich service done on a vintage union special machine. Forget about triple cuffing your jeans and come see dutil’s denim doctors in Gastown.
