Calling all leprechauns, rogues, lads and lassies! Everyone is welcome to come to Gastown for some real craic agus ceol! And with celebrations on the go every day leading up to Saturday, you’ll feel like you’re looking over a four leaf clover!

The Irish Heather

Vancouver’s only Irish owned Irish pub, The Irish Heather, is as authentic a place as you can find off the Island. The Heather has a few accolades to be proud of: recently winning Best Irish Whiskey Experience in North America at the 2017 Irish Pub Awards in Dublin and taking first place as the #1 pub in Vancouver in the Annual Georgia Straight Golden Plate Awards.

The gastropub proudly boasts an extensive list of whiskies and scotches along with unique cocktails and rest assured, they do know how pour a proper pint of Guinness.

Start in the Heather and wend your way into the adjacent Shebeen Whisky House. Here you’ll find more than a character or two to engage with in good conversation. For Paddy’s Day there will be traditional Irish music, good times and a few drink specials to get you in the Celtic vibe.

The Portside Pub

St. Patrick’s isn’t just for the Irish, it’s for everybody. You can be Irish for the day at St. Portside’s Irish For A Day party this Saturday!

The party starts at 11am and doesn’t stop until 3am. Featuring – Live Music by The Shenanigans 5-9pm, GOOD MUSIC DJ’s 10pm-3am, Irish Food Menu, Irish Dancers, an Irish Piper and lots more! Before 8pm tickets are available for $10 – after 8pm available at the door only. Tickets available here.

The Cambie Pub

One of the neighbourhood’s liveliest hangouts, The Cambie Pub will be getting their Irish on this Saturday with a big St. Patty’s Day Party. The beer will be dyed green and multiple hard hitting Dj’s will bang out the tunes from 6pm-3am. The Patio will be open and it will be good times guaranteed.

The Lamplighter Pub

The Lamplighter Pub is quite possibly one of the most iconic drinking establishments in Gastown, if not, Vancouver. Established in 1925 (and having received Vancouver’s first pub license), this well loved haunt is steeped in history. This Saturday, the Lamplighter will be glowing green with live music by Rollin’ Trainwreck at 3PM and The Sheets at 7PM with music by DJ Mary Mac at 10PM.
