He has scored numerous short films and performs regularly in the Lower Mainland leading his own groups and within various local music communities. At the Pourhouse, his trio performs original music written by Alvaro, as well as repertoire by Thelonious Monk, Ornette Coleman, Paul Motian and many others from the jazz and not-jazz canon.
