In this exhibition, Bon Roberts and Lee Roberts explore the relationships between domestic and wild birds and their symbiotic and fundamental existences within contemporary lives and culture. Food sustainability, cohabitation of wild/domestic animals and humans, permaculture, reclamation of materials “waste to wonder”, form the basic themes for the show.

Mediums used include sculpture from reclaimed industrial/biological waste materials, eggshells, Feathers, Driftwood, relief works in burnt reclaimed flooring, industrial conveyor belting, plaster, photography and paintings in oil.

“AVIAN by nature” will exhibit new works by Bon and Lee. Living creative lives together for 25 years and having fundamentally different styles and execution practices, Bon and Lee are innately influenced by their everyday shared experiences and art practices.
