Soul resides just beneath the exterior. West Coast Soul/R&B singer-songwriter Katherine Penfold has always gravitated towards powerhouse vocalists like Diana Ross and Aretha Franklin. Her show-stopping range is a testament to their influence on her – but Penfold is as unique and authentic as they come. Having just returned from shows in New York and London – she is poised to release her album ‘Sweetest Thing’ October 4th. Funky/jazzy – introspective and heartfelt – Katherine Penfold is a charismatic performer that lights up the stage. She is backed up by her stellar band – Malcolm Aiken (trumpet), Max Zipursky (keys/synth), Tristan Paxton (guitar), Matt Reid (bass), and Paul Clark (drums).
