Michigan-native Trevor Krehel is a new face in the Indie music scene. Inspired by a mix of modern singer songwriters (Ruston Kelly, Matthew Mayfield, James Bay, & Matt Maeson), Trevor intertwines his love for acoustic and rock & roll throughout his debut EP – ‘Let Go’. Although his album ranges from ukulele solos to punchy distortion, his live performances showcase the rawness behind each song. Stripped down to the bare essentials of a deep, haunting voice and dynamic guitar tone, Trevor gives listeners a preview of how each track came to be.

Recently formed, “Light Years” is comprised of veteran musicians: Gord Lemon, Chris Hass, Dave Say, Jason de Couto, and Gavin Youngash – who have played with the ‘who’s who’ in the Canadian and American music scene. The members wish to pay tribute to some of the amazing artists which have inspired them, including Tom Scott, David Sanborn, Spyro Gyra, Robben Ford, Chick Corea, Steps Ahead, Yellow Jackets and more. The band brings their collective experience together for a highly entertaining evening for listeners and dancers alike. Jazz, funk, R&B are the catalysts for the hard driving grooves and improvisation that Light Years radiates out.
