GroundUp presents Adventures In Paradise. Vancouver is buzzing about the newest phenomenon in cover song artistry with universal, if at times terse, acclaim. “Super groovy.” “Sounds like delicious.” “I can dance to that.” “I’m surprised they didn’t play Valerie or Signed, Sealed, Delivered.” Let Adventures In Paradise take your hand and be your soul guide. The adventure starts with grooves from the 70s and 80s and glides along silken paths to paradise laid down by these staples of the Vancouver R&B and soul scene: Marie Hui on vocals, Gavin Youngash on guitar, Jay Esplana on keyboards, Paul Clark on drums, Myles Bigelow on percussion, Derek DiFilippo on bass.

As always, we have the fabulous DJ Dule spinning all night and all proceeds from the door will be donated in support of the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre.
