Forged in the heart of Gastown, this bold new project from Canadian trumpeter Malcolm Aiken is the result of his celebrated three year residency right here at Guilt & Company. The sound is dubbed-out jazz-fusion with down tempo grooves, ambient textures, and vintage synths that set the mood for his lyrical trumpet tone. A synergy emanates that recalls the sounds of Bob James and Electric Miles, with modern beats inspired by J Dilla, Flying Lotus and Robert Glasper.

As always, we have the fabulous DJ Dule spinning all night and all proceeds from the door will be donated in support of the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre.
