Milk Crate Bandits are one of Vancouver’s best traditional jazz bands. They have released two EPs, ‘The Neighbourhood’ and ‘The View From Out Here’ both of which were recorded in New Orleans with Preservation Hall Trumpet player Kevin Louis. After several successful tours of BC 2017 and 2018, featuring Brad Shigeta (Ellington Orchestra, Illinois Jacquet, Jack McDuff), Jen Hodge and Australian Chris O’Dea The Neighbourhood hit #1 on the CBFX jazz charts. Milk Crate Bandits present a high-energy performance of New Orleans jazz, intimate acoustic moments and cheeky vocals.
