The Poorboy Trio’ is a swing blues group led by Huggybear Leonard &  Dave ‘Double D’ Dykhuizen. In addition, there’s a very steady rhythm section consisting of the talented  Pat Darcus on double bass or the dynamic Martin Eade on drums! Performing blues, soul, Canadiana, and jazz with traditional blues harmonica by Leonard and the multi-faceted sizzling guitarist -Double D. The trio trips through a variety of wires born in the cusp of the rock era influenced by rhythm and blues . They are a weekly feature and favourite at Pourhouse Vancouver in Gastown for 8 years running and the band is featured weekly/monthly at other venues as well in the Lower Mainland. They are also sometimes known as Leonard and the Lab Rats – the sister band of the Poorboy Trio.
