How long have you been in the program at the Aveda Institute?
I have been at the institute for six months, so far.
Why did you choose to study at Aveda?
I chose Aveda for the high level of education that I would receive and the authentic environment. I knew it immediately after my first visit to tour the school.

My friends and life long hairdresser, my mom!
Who is your personal style icon?
My mom. She is very successful at adapting to so many different styles and trends. She really lives her passion and puts 110% into her work. She doesn’t just cut and color, she provides an amazing experience!

I am very approachable with my outgoing and caring attitude.
What can people expect from a visit with you?
A relaxing visit with a few laughs.
What is the one tool you can’t live without?

As a current hair student, what do you enjoy the most?
My favorite part of school so far is cutting hair and being shown how to cut those styles we all love.
Where would we find you outside of school or work?
You would find me cycling the back roads in Langley or spending time with friends. I love road biking. I completed the ride to conquer cancer last year and I will train again this year!

Becoming a Provincial Champion in track and field with a relay team. I spent years training.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself in a fashion forward trend setting salon. Perhaps Victoria, I spent a couple of years there and I had my first Aveda experience there too!
Last but not least, what is your best at home hair care tip?
Well, I have two. Always use a product to protect your hair from the heat of hot tools – even if you’re a less is more kind of person. And it’s not bad thing to skip washing your hair every day; it can be a good thing!
