The Lamplighter is looking for volunteers – those of you that happen to be staying in town this Christmas – to help operate a daytime soup kitchen and be part of street teams that will assemble and distribute meals throughout the downtown core during the evening.
All that is required from you is to dress warm, show up at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day and be prepared to assemble a few dozen meals that you will be taking throughout the city on foot to hand to our city’s less fortunate.
Your reward (besides the fuzzy feeling of lending a hand to those in need this season) is a fresh, warm turkey dinner with all the trimmings at the end of the day, a Christmas present from Santa himself and an evening of libations and good cheer with your friends at The Lamplighter throughout the night.
