Stussy Kids x Looney Tunes

One of the most iconic cartoon crews of all time, Looney Tunes, has teamed up with the Stüssy tribe on a collection exclusively for the kids. Although Stüssy Kids has been making regular appearances in Japan, this is the first global kids project. As part of this collection, Stussy incorporated classic Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester, Tweety, the Tasmanian Devil, Marvin the Martian, Foghorn Leghorn and Yosemite Sam on series graphic tees featuring the cartoon legends mixed with classic Stüssy iconography. The heavy-metal trailblazers, Black Sabbath have collaborated with Converse for a new collection of Chuck Taylors. Hitz Boutique is now carrying this highly coveted collection. L’Abattoir Dinner with Chef Derek Dammann

L’Abattoir Restaurant is very excited to be welcoming Derek Dammann of Montreal’s Maison Publique for the evening of Thursday, February 20th. Derek will collaborate with the kitchen team at L’Abattoir to create a special seven course meal paired with wines and cocktails. Reservations are available 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tickets are $150 per guest exclusion of taxes (including beverage pairings and gratuity).

Pints for a Cause at The Lamplighter

The Lamplighter is teaming up with local breweries to help contribute funds to our charitable partners during what is traditionally a slower time of year for donations.

Each Tuesday in February, they will be donating all revenue from beer sales of these designated breweries to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Shelter, The Salvation Army and the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

Your contribution? Come by, have a beer and help us give back to those in need.

Terrarium Building Workshop at Olla Flowers

Prefer plants to cut flowers? Well then plan to come into Olla Flowers on Saturday February 8th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to learn how to make couples terrariums. This workshop will focus on ‘classic, closed terrariums’ for plants that thrive in high humidity (leafy tropical plants, air plants, and carnivorous plants). Bring your own glass container with lid or choose from one from in store (receive 10% off all glass in store).

Cost- $40 includes all basic materials and coffee/tea and light snacks (glass containers and specialty, carnivorous plants are extra).

There’s a new batch of talenting coming to perform in Gastown! Toronto-native, Luke Austin (pictured above) will be performing at Guilt & Company on Sunday, February 2nd. At 21 years of age, Luke Austin is making waves as far as Nashville with his Debut CD: “The Desert”. Luke is the primary writer of his own music, melody and lyrics, and is delivering his own cool, mellow and downright clever, self-proclaimed “Desert Alternative” to his growing fans.
