Cask Night at Six Acres
Tonight’s the night! Six Acres is hosting their very first cask night tonight (Monday, May 20th). Come on down to 203 Carrall St to taste Central City’s Pale Ale with rosemary, juniper, and orange peel.
Haven Gastown Grand Opening Reception
This week, Haven is opening the doors to their new store in Gastown. Nearly five years ago, the menswear boutique opened their first Vancouver location in the quiet backstreets of Blood Alley in Gastown. For the last nine months, the team at Haven have been diligently working away and are excited to finally unveil the brand new and improved Haven Vancouver.
Join Haven on Friday May 23rd at 7 p.m. to celebrate the grand opening of their brand new Gastown location at 52 E. Cordova Street.
Gastown x Vancouver Craft Beer Week
Vancouver Craft Beer Week is coming! Pourhouse and Portside Pub are participating in this year’s festivities. Tickets are selling fast, so make sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible! Here’s the scoop on what they are offering:

Tuesday June 3, 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.
Pourhouse and friends have teamed up to showcase what they do best: award-winning beers, a delicious family-style dinner, and the high-end service you’ve come to expect from one of Gastown’s favorite hang-outs. This year’s spread is a four-course experience featuring a creative menu from head chef Jean-Christophe Poirier with beers from Driftwood Brewing, 33 Acres Brewing, Derrick Franche (Whistler Brewhouse), and Dageraad Brewing. These plates are a perfect pairing of beer and food, and the four featured brews will knock your hops off!

Thursday June 5, 4:00 p.m. – Late
Playing off the hip-hop practice of using samples to make songs epic, Portside is sampling the best of what Vancouver has to offer. You can purchase never been seen before items from Vancouver’s most imminent clothing and shoe stores. All while listening to hip-hops samples played on 45′s by the Stuntman with a late night show by hip-hop DJ Flip Out. Come one come all!
Alfie Italia Presents “Viva Friday!”
This Friday May 23rd from 6-9 p.m., Alfie Italia is presenting “Viva Friday!” a casual BYOB affair. Alfie Italia will be featuring a collection of paintings by Peter Ridgway, a brilliant Canadian architect turned painter. Pop by Alfie Italia at 302 W. Cordova St for art, music, bevies, and excellent company. This will be the first “Viva Friday!” of many to come!
“Let it Rain” Charity Water Bottle at Artina’s Jewellery
This month, Artina’s Jewellery is celebrating their 25th anniversary with a very special collaboration. Artina’s Jewllery has teamed up with local aboriginal artist and co-designer of the 2010 Olympic Game medals, Corrine Hunt, to design unique reusable water canteens.
Visit Artina’s Gastown location at 387 Water St to purchase one of these beautiful “Let it Rain” water bottles. Artina’s Jewllery will donate $5 of each purchase to the ONEXONE Canadian First Nations School Breakfast program.
