SAVE THE DATE – GASTOWN GRAND PRIX

Canada’s most exciting bike race returns to our streets next week – Wednesday, July 15th. The Gastown Grand Prix delivers heart-pumping action on the neighbourhood’s historic streets as Olympic-calibre cyclists speed along the cobblestones in this exhilarating, circuit-style bike race. It’s one of the only elite sporting events that’s free to watch and open to all ages, so plan to head down and take in the action.

BRUCE EYEWEAR AND ORLING & WU CELEBRATE MILESTONES

If you’re in Gastown this week, pop into Bruce Eyewear to wish them a happy anniversary. They just celebrated their tenth birthday in the neighbourhood and fifteen overall! Also hitting a milestone this month is Orling & Wu. They’ll celebrate five years with a VIP bash in store.

THE SOUTH SIDE SLUGS TOUR FT. POUYA

On Thursday, July 9th, Miami rapper Pouya makes his Vancouver debut at Alexander Gastown along side The Cool Kids’ Sir Michael Rocks and special guests on the South Slide Slugs Tour. Special guests include, Sir Michael Rocks, Fat Nick, Mikey The Magician, Germ, Don Krez, ilLL Chris, Heat Wave, Tony Mason, Creed Taylor, Plus DJs Seko & Sailor Gerry. To get tickets, head here.

BAUHAUS & SECRET LOCATION LAUNCH NEW TASTING MENUS

The Gabriel Palatchi Trio is stopping by Guilt & Company on Wed July 8th for the promotional tour of their album, Diario de Viaje. Their sound is an original blend of Latin Jazz, Tango, Funk and Reggae. For the last 5 years the band has toured throughout various parts of Argentina, Mexico and Canada, performing at the Quebec City Jazz Festival, Starbelly Jam Music Festival, and Coyote Jazz Fest, and more.
