INTO THE LIGHT – JENNIFER WALDEN SOLO EXHIBITION
The Inuit Gallery is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of works by Jennifer Walden on display from September 25th to October 15th. Jennifer’s distinctive style explores Northern life through people, wildlife and topography. Her contemporary expressionistic paintings are rich in texture and vibrant colour. String and rope are blended with acrylic media to create the deep and dynamic three-dimensional relief that is her signature.
IRISH HEATHER REVIVES LONG TABLE SERIES
While you may be quietly mourning summer’s end, the Irish Heather is returning their beloved Long Table dinner series today (Sept 21) with a revamped menu.
Come together with friends old and new at the 40-foot long communal table to mix, mingle and enjoy classic comfort dishes paired with local craft beers from Russell Brewing. Originally created as an alternative dining experience for folks when the recession was biting hard, the Long Table Series continues to provide a unique experience at a great price. SALT TASTING ROOM SERVES UP SAN SEBASTIAN EXPERIMENT
Salt Tasting Room has partnered with local specialty food vendor Bosa Foods to serve up San Sebastián-style dining by offering free tapas to hungry guests.
On a recent trip to Spain, Bosa sourced a variety of high-quality, Spanish delicacies new to most Vancouver palettes. With a little help from Bosa, Salt is bringing a taste of this delectable foodie culture to Vancouverites, offering free tapas to patrons of the restaurant – just as they’re offered in tapas bars all over Spain.
Curious foodies who are ready for a taste of San Sebastián can visit Salt Tasting Room, now until October 11, from 3-6pm. Parched patrons can order a tasting flight or glass of wine, beer or sherry, and enjoy complimentary tapas to sample Bosa’s new Spanish product line.
