CHILL WINSTON SUPPORTS LIVE BELOW THE LINE

Join Chill Winston as they celebrate their participation in this year’s Live Below the Line Canada. Starting today, Chill Winston Head Chef Derek Bothwell and Guilt & Company manager Tonye Aganaba will take part in the challenge, which encourages participants to live on $1.25 per day for food and drinks for five days.

To kick things off, Chill Winston is hosting a party today (April 27), 3-5pm, will provide guests with an opportunity to sample some of the incredible meals Chef Derek has created with just $1.75. Complimentary beverages and food will also be offered, and donations are graciously welcome.

SECRET LOCATION LAUNCHES NEW MENU

As summer is nearly upon us, what’s more perfect than pre-dinner cocktails and snacks? Secret Location has refreshed their lounge menu with new creations; each perfectly paired with the right cocktail to tantalize every taste bud.

Pictured to the left is one their newest creations, Cinnamon Smoked Duck paired with Bountiful Blend, a mix of Brockmans Gin, Cointreau, muddled strawberries, vanilla syrup and Balthasar Riesling.

NOW OPEN FOR LUNCH…

Gastown’s lunch circuit has expanded! Six Acres, Tacofino’s Taco Bar and Salida 7 have opened their patios and debuted a new lunch service to offer new food and refreshing cocktails just in time for summer.

Salida 7 is launching a relaxed lunch service with a focus on sangria (pictured to the left) and a menu similar to their Spanish-style tapas offerings served during the evenings. Lunch will be available Tuesday through Friday from 11:30am – 2:30pm.

Six Acres is serving up old favourites and comforting classics (like seared bison salad), along with Happy Hour specials accompanied by a special snack list. Lunch-goers can join them for a bite from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 11:30am to 2:30pm; Happy Hour specials are available between 2:30pm to 5pm.

Tacofino‘s Taco Bar’s lunch menu offers plenty of new bites including an Ajiaco chicken soup, a veggie taco, and chicken taco with epazote chimichurri. Along with tasty new additions, they’re introducing new drink options like House Made Jalisco Pimm’s, Sangria Jug, Oaxcan Handshake, and new mocktails. Enjoy it all from their 16-seat patio in Blood Alley. The Taco Bar lunch service is offered daily between 11:30am to 3pm. For something to go, head to their takeout counter located on 15 Cordova.
