CASK NIGHTS AT THE IRISH HEATHER

Cask beer is coming back. This Thursday May 7th, gather friends and family in hoisting a pint at The Irish Heather as they kick off Cask Nights. Running every second Thursday through Sunday, The Irish Heather will feature a new cask produced by a leading beer producer with sleeves priced at $6 (16oz). Any beer left over will be served on “finish our cask Sunday,” where cask beer will be priced at $5 per sleeve until it runs out.
The first cask to be featured is Phillip’s Brewing Co.’s Hoperation Tripel Cross, a traditional Belgian IPA dry hopped with Amarillo Hops, clear and golden in colour with 2+ fingers of sticky head. Through the mid-thick cover layer comes notes of coriander, wheat and hops. The flavour is delightfully hoppy in a rather mellow manner, balanced with wheat tones and a slight coriander flavour.
Upcoming Cask Nights:
May 7th – 3pm
May 21st – 3pm
June 4th – 3pm
June 18th – 3pm
July 2nd – 3pm

Reservations are recommended, please email reso [at] irishheather.com.
MURLO LIVE AT NEW GASTOWN VENUE, M.I.A
Last month, Blueprint Events launched M.I.A. – a new nightlife project that promises to showcase exciting live acts into a cutting-edge space at 350 Water St. The new venue is asking club goers to refrain from cell phone use while inside, which definitely adds to the intrigue of getting “lost in the moment”. The inclusive space brings together emerging artists from alternative strains of electronic dance music. Next up on their entertainment roster, DJ Murlo is set to spin live on Wednesday May 6th. Murlo taps into the whomp ‘n’ grind of grime, garage and bassline as well as the hot thrust of dancehall and afrobeats to create rhythms that shimmy and shake with carnival energy. Purchase your ticket here.
