VANCOUVER’S FACIAL HAIR COMPETITION
They say a beard is a gift a man gives to his face. Lamplighter is throwing a fun event that combines beards, bourbon and bingo.
This Saturday June 6th, they will be joined by the Vancouver Facial Hair Society and Barber & Co to host the first annual Vancouver Facial Hair Competition. The beardy showdown happens from 5pm-10pm and features bourbon milkshakes and beers. Celebrity bearded judges will be announced soon. All proceeds will be going towards a chosen charity. ROADWORK RUNNING CLUB
Training for the Sea Wheeze? Strike Mvmnt and All City Athletics are teaming up for Roadwork, a fun community run club that takes place every Sunday at 5pm starting May 31st.

Spirit Wrestler Gallery is pleased to announce the 9th Annual Exhibition of the students and instructors of the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art (Northwest Community College, Terrace, BC). The gallery is proud to have hosted this exhibition every year since the school’s inception and to offer the students a venue to have their work seen by an international audience. The exhibition will be on display now until June 20th.
DAKTYL LIVE AT M.I.A.
This Thursday June 4th, M.I.A. welcomes multi-instrumentalist, DAKTYL.The UK-based DJ/Producer uses beat-driven grooves that merge Hip-hop, Soul, Garage and Bass. AMBASSADEURS is an uncompromising musician who draws influences from Hip-Hop, Reggae and most Electronic styles of music and continues to push the boundaries when it comes to production. BAUHAUS RESTAURANT IS NOW OPEN
The highly anticipated Bauhaus Restaurant has opened its doors last week offering a new style of German cuisine created by Michelin Star Chef, Stefan Hartmann.
Over the past decade Hartmann has worked in some of Europe’s most notable Michelin Star restaurants and has caught the attention of food critics all over the world. Tim Adams will lead the operations at the Bauhaus restaurant as General Manager. Tim was instrumental in managing England’s most prestigious establishments including Kensington Palace, Tower of London and Hampton Court Palace. He’s also hosted many high profile guests including the Prime Minister, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Her Majesty the Queen and members of the Royal Family.
Behind Bauhaus is Uwe Boll, who many know from his film career. However, it is Boll’s personal interests in international cuisine that led him to bring high‐end food products, such as Casa Gusta olive oil, to Canada for many years. His passion for exceptional food and ingredients is the inspiration for this endeavor.
The new restaurant will boast 100 seats with a large open concept kitchen, personal Chefs table, private dining room, and wine room.

Terminal Station takes traditional blues sound and kicks it into high gear. Their music is raw and exciting – full of fat bass lines, explosive drumming, risk taking guitar solos and impassioned vocals. The members of Terminal Station have been key players in Vancouver’s blues and roots scene for the better part of a decade. Catch them in action this Saturday June 6th at Guilt & Company.
