On Wednesday May 30th from 5 to 7pm, join Omer Arbel and Glenn Adamson in conversation in our 50 Water St showroom. New works by Omer Arbel for the recently launched OAO Works collection and a display of sculptural lighting and will be on view.
Based between Vancouver and Berlin, Omer Arbel cultivates a fluid position between the fields of architecture, sculpture, invention and design. Focal themes of his work include investigation of intrinsic mechanical, physical, and chemical qualities of materials and exploration of light as a medium.
Senior scholar at the Yale Center for British Art and editor-at-large of The Magazine Antiques, Glenn Adamson is a curator and theorist who works across the fields of design, craft, and contemporary art. He was previously Director of the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, Head of Research at the V&A, and Curator at the Chipstone Foundation in Milwaukee.
