From April 23  – May 31 , Gastown welcomes back local tourism and hospitality professionals to the neighbourhood for the return of the Tourism Challenge after a two-year hiatus. The Tourism Challenge is a rare opportunity for tourism industry professionals to re-educate and reconnect with all of the neighbourhoods and attractions that our region has to offer, so that they are ready to welcome visitors and share their passion and knowledge with visitors. As old as Canada itself, Gastown is Vancouver’s original neighbourhood. Today, our heritage buildings are home to independent fashion boutiques, impeccably curated décor shops, one-of-a-kind galleries and some of the best culinary fare in the city.
