Saturday Oct 26 – Saturday Spectre Spectacular at the Blarney Stone will be sure to spook your taste buds, tantalize your ears and excite your senses. With The Unusual Suspects “for murder” and DJ “Blue” Steel cutting up the dance floor, you’ll be sure to stay the night, some say, never leave. Drink specials, prizes and more await the living and the dead.

The Portside Pub
Calling all sea hags, mermaids, drowned sailors and ghosts of the sea – celebrating Halloween Vancouver-style means partying with Big John Bates! They will be performing a dark cabaret set at the Portside Pub on Thursday Oct 31 with some special guests. If you haven’t been to the Portside yet it’s a rad nautical-themed, three-level craft beer pub at 7 Alexander in Gastown. That means lots of great beers and an old-school atmosphere!
Big John Bates are Americana Noir, or as John likes to say, “Southern Gothic Death Cult.” Take advantage and come celebrate the best time of the year with their dark and spooky antics Halloween!

CELEBRATING DAY OF THE DEAD
Sugar Skull Studio
Join Sugar Skull Studio in celebrating the decreased at the Day of the Dead party. This is your chance to get your face airbrushed, enjoy some crazy live burlesque, perhaps get a tattoo, or enjoy the affordable drinks.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Show starts at 10 p.m. No cover.
Livestock
In celebration of Day of the Dead, Livestock in Gastown is curating an Art Exhibition. Working directly with Ricardo Sosa of Revolutionario Design. Livestock is working directly with Ricardo Sosa of Revolutionario Design, to create limited edition one of a kind hand beaded Skulls, along with specially design Livestock tee shirts to compliment the Exhibited Skulls.
Both the skulls and tees will be available for purchase the night of the event. The Art Exhibition will take place Friday November 1st at Livestock’s Gastown location from 9pm-12am, space is limited – arrive early to join Livestock at the Gastown store on 239 Abbott Street.
