Now that a week has passed since the second Annual Yule Duel and recent moments have become happy memories, it is time to say thank you.

We wish to thank all our committed sponsors of Yule Duel 2016. Without your support, this important fund raising event could not have been possible.
This year’s sponsors were: BigLittle, Cutler, Clubcard, Boldly Creative Agency Inc., C2 Imaging, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Miss604, The Georgia Straight, Lowtide Properties, Inform Interiors, Global BC, The Social Agency, The Irish Heather, and Chill Winston.

Part of the success of Yule Duel, is having a diverse, effervescent and discerning team of judges that willingly take on the difficult task of choosing award recipients from so many talented groups. We say thanks to our wonderful judges: Spencer Chandra Herbert, Morna Edmondson, Mike Forrester, Rebecca Bollwitt, Heather Deal, Kaitlyn Herbst, Michael Boucher, and Ariane Colenbrander

Thanks to Mr. Fred Lee – who was our inimitable host for the evening. Always hilarious and charming; he’s our Yule Duel Man About GasTown.

We are particularly grateful to our many volunteers. They braved the rain and the cold and carried out what was asked. They gave of themselves freely and did so in good cheer.

Thank you to our choirs for their gift of music.

They came from far, they came from near, they came with guitars, and bongo’s and shakers, they came with lights, with mistletoe bright and red Santa hats and sound makers.

Vancouver Pops Choir,  Los Parranderos de Vancouver, CPABC Vancouver Chapter, Note Guilty,  8Wings Vocal Ensemble, November Project Vancouver, Saint James Music Academy, Impromptu Rock Choir, Sound Eclectic, Sweet Scarlet, Notre Dame Platinum Girls and Notre Dame Boys Choir, A Very Guilty Christmas, In French Please, Mulgrave Choir, The Blarney Stone, Zing!, Richmond Youth Choir, Classic Rock Choir, Harold Bishop Elementary, Bethlehem 7.

And we thank everyone who came out to Yule Duel, cheered on the choirs, listened to the music, bought a button and made a donation to May’s Place. This year we raised over $60,000. We couldn’t have done it without you.

On behalf of the Gastown Business Improvement Society, The Bloom Group and May’s Place, we wish you Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and again, say thank you.

See you all next year at Yule Duel 2017!
