Pride Kick-Off Party

Follow the rainbow brick road as we kick-off Vancouver Pride weekend in true Gastown Thursday Night Style – with a blend of live music, drag, dancing, and all of the love.

From 4:30pm – 7:30pm catch some of Vancouver’s most talented LGBTQ2S+ artists take the pop-up outdoor stage to celebrate the storied history that lives on in our neighbourhood. This event is completely free and accessible to all. Come one. Come all.

About the Artists:

ebonEmpress is an emcee that shares her lived experience as a woman of African descent and spreads a message of unity and acceptance. Her music is a blend of Hip Hop, R&b and spoken word. She is committed to spreading awareness about the injustice faced by African communities and showcasing the impact people of African descent have on Canadian and global cultures.

Bluee Joy Drag Show features an incredible all-Asian cast, this drag show is a celebration of Asian power and pride. Don’t miss out on an unforgettable night of dazzling performances and vibrant energy! With special performances by Atondra, BlueeJoy, Lulu Lomein, Ploy Pailin, Valak D’Mon.

Bradley/Josh Band is a collaborative piece of musical art put together by Bradley Barkman and Josh Wyper. This power duo met singing together on the Guilt & Co stage, and will join forces once again to bring you the campiest, Pride-appropriate hits to keep you dancing on the cobblestone streets celebrating. Come have a kiki with Bradley & Josh, serving vocals, soul, rock and roll, camp, and comedy. See you there, henny.

Magik Moments Photo Booth is giving event attendees an opportunity to capture the moment and spread the love one snapshot at a time. The luxury mirrored photo booth will be onsite from 4:30pm-7:30pm. Snap a photo, get a free digital copy, and share how much fun you’re having at the Gastown Pride Kickoff Party with all of your friends.

Throughout Pride weekend, Gastown will be buzzing with pop-up events, stylish designs, and impactful cocktail specials. In the spirit of inclusivity, numerous promotions will support LGBTQ2S+ charities, fostering a sense of community while embracing the power of pride and giving back.
