A new transportation/streets & spaces plan currently being prepared by the City of Vancouver sparked the Gastown Business Improvement Society (GBIS) to take a comprehensive look at Gastown and its future by evaluating public realm and public life in our neighbourhood. We are happy to share the work that has been done so far; our Draft Gastown Urban Design Study addresses goals of the applicable City policies, neighbourhood aspirations and recommendations on potential & improvements that can be achieved in Gastown. We are eager to advance our collaborative planning process with the City – but not without your feedback.
