JD's Barbershop Introduces JD'S Barber School!
JD’s Barbershop, located in Vancouver’s Gastown, is excited to introduce their latest venture, JD’s Barber School!
Education is the foundation with JD’s barbers and their craft. The Barber School is an opportunity for JD’s Barbershop to provide education and techniques to aspiring barbers everywhere.
JD’s Barbering Fundamentals is a hand’s on intensive program that is recommended for students with little to no barber training and for stylists/barbers that wish to strengthen their core barbering techniques. JD’s Barbering Fundamentals will consist of four modules of barbering skills to help students develop their cutting techniques. This program will guide them on their path to being highly qualified, technically trained and skilled barbers.
This program consists of:
- 4 Modules of essential barbering techniques
- Hands-on-training
- One-on-one instruction
- Head sheet breakdown and theory
- Model practice
- Apprenticeship opportunity
JD’s Barbering Fundamentals consists of four weeks of instruction and one week of apprenticeship at JD’s Barbershop. Classes will take place three times a week, in the evenings, to allow students to maintain their other obligations such as work or school.
Enrollment is now open for the November 2013 start date. Introductory cost for JD’s Barbering Fundamentals Program is $3200.ºº (plus applicable taxes). Each student will receive the necessary textbook and tools for the program. Students must provide models for each class, no mannequins will be used.
