The Gastown Patrol Team can help you with following:
- If someone is blocking your business or is on private property.
- Aggressive/illegal panhandling
- Loitering on private properties
- Safe-walks
- Encampments
- The team is also available for safety checks if you are feeling unsafe with someone in your establishment(s) or when you are closing up for the day.

Please provide the following details when calling the Gastown Patrol Team:
- Your store name or address.
- The concern/problem. Please be as detailed as possible.
- Whether you’ve already called emergency services.
- A detailed description of the people involved and if they are present or have left the location. If they have left, what street and direction are they headed?
- If any weapons are present.

Note that the Patrol Team has limited ability to stop people from open-drug use or to move people from public spaces unless they are setting up encampments or destroying property. As this is a growing concern around the neighbourhood and city as a whole, we are working with government officials, VPD and various social services around the city.
