Bassist/Composer/Bandleader Steve Lloyd Smith is an active member of the jazz community and a prolific composer.
Steve Smith relocated to Vancouver in 2000 and began writing, performing and recording with his quintet FIVE, called “one of the most vibrant bands on the burgeoning Vancouver jazz scene”. Before moving to Vancouver, Smith resided in San Francisco. A native of California, Smith received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of California.

Versatile bassist, vocalist, and bandleader Jen Hodge captures both ears and hearts with her hard swinging grooves, an expressive and energetic playing style, and an evident, infectious love for making music. With Chris Davis (trumpet) and Jack Ray (guitar).
Up the staircase The 2nd Floor is a separate venue space than the main dining area at the Water St. Cafe. While enjoying the full menu from Chef and owner Alan Tse you can now enjoy the ambience of live music.
For each guest that joins us a $5 per set Support Live Music contribution will be collected and given to the artists performing that evening for each set enjoyed by the guest.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Audrey Rose moved to British Columbia with her family at the age of 13. Growing up in the influences of 80’s music icons like Guns N Roses, Scorpions, Jon Bon Jovi, Poison and The Cure she embraced a peculiar genre, a twist and blend of rock, jazz, soul and blues. Audrey Rose continued to live her passion performing as a solo artist but eventually set this aside to pursue audio engineering in the live realm. After working with and constantly getting inspired by many talented musicians behind the board, her passion to perform rekindled and is ready to take on the stage once again with both old and new music.

The word “Witch” elicits many opinions and visual references often inspired by old folk tales, Hollywood depictions, and tainted historical events. But what does it mean to be a Witch today?
“Witches of Vancouver: Coming out of the Broom Closet” is a photo-documentary series by local photographer, Jessie Robertson Photography. Through interviews and portraits, eleven Vancouver based self-identified Witches speak candidly about their paths, and what it was like to come out of the ‘broom closet’ in a society that still often shutters at the word, “Witch”.
Art Social is a FREE ongoing monthly event from 7-9pm on the last Friday of every month Hosted at Liquid Amber Tattoo & Art Collective. Immerse yourself into an evening of art and discover local Vancouver businesses all while enjoying a drink at the cash bar and exploring this tattoo studio turned art gallery.
