Easter Chocolate Sweets and Treats In Gastown

There are bunnies and eggs made of chocolate in Gastown!

Easter is here and where better to hunt for chocolate eggs than Gastown. We have two exceptional chocolate crafters in the neighbourhood, East Van Roasters and Rogers Chocolates. They have been busy imagining all sorts of delicious Easter treats for children of every age and now’s the time to fill your basket!

We have discovered some of the cutest and tastiest sweets to savour this Easter and they’re all waiting to be found in Gastown!

East Van Roasters is forever conjuring up wondrous bits of chocolate magic. This Easter is no exception. House made right from the bean (organic fair trade), East Van Roasters has a great variety of sweets inspired by the holiday including bunnies, eggies and pops!

Designed to provide training and employment to the women residents of the Rainier Hotel, East Van Roasters creates organic ‘bean-to-bar’ chocolate and coffee roasted and prepared on site.

There are many scrumptious treats to choose from. For boxed chocolate choose from two options: The Easter Egg Box – 9 eggs (3 Marshmallow, 3 Raspberry Nib and 3 Melted Ganache) $20 or

The East Van Roasters Sampler Box – 6 eggs (2 Marshmallow, 2 Raspberry Nib and 2 Melted Ganache) and 1 Buckwheat Bar $20

Super cute are The Crunchy Bunnies (puffed quinoa and toffee)– sold individually for $10

Also wonderful are The Bunny Pops or Carrot Pops – made from 70% dark chocolate $3.25 each. There’s also a larger single origin Chocolate Easter Bunny at $25.

Hurry though and hop to it! – East Van Roasters, located on 319 Carrall St, is open today & Thursday (9-5) and Saturday (10-5). They are closed Friday, Sunday and Monday.
