Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix

50th Anniversary, Wednesday, July 12th

The moment we’ve all been waiting for – The Gastown Grand Prix is finally making it’s comeback. The Grand Prix is a prestigious Canadian Pro 1/2 criterium race with a long and rich history (50 years to be exact), and one of the most popular one-day bike races in North America.

Where: Start/finish line next to Gastown’s steam clock. Spectators can line the route along Water, Cordova, and Columbia streets.

When: Wednesday, July 12

Time: Youth race at 5:30 pm, opening ceremonies at 5:55 pm, women’s race at 6:15 pm, men’s race at 7:30 pm.

VFS Indigenous Peoples Scholarship

Applications Now Open

In support of the continued growth of Indigenous artists, Vancouver Film School (VFS) is pleased to once again offer the Indigenous Peoples Scholarships for the Creative Industry Art.

With full and partial-tuition scholarships available, the fund is valued at up to $162,000 for Indigenous students to enrol in any VFS full-time program of their choice.

BC Hospitality Hall of Fame

KT Table Group + Tacofino

Shout out to Jennifer Rossi from Kitchen Table Group (Pourhouse & Di Beppe) for being inducted in the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame under the category Women in Hospitality, and Gino Di Domenico from Tacofino under the category Local Champion.

This year’s inductees will join the almost 100 individuals whose contributions have been forever commemorated in the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame to date, and will be honoured in the 19th Annual BC Restaurant Hall of Fame’s induction ceremony this October 23rd.
