It’s Official – Gastown Is Open With Care
We’re back!… We have replaced our boarded up storefronts with Open With Care signs.
Thank you for supporting our community throughout the last couple of months and for continuing to show that support as our businesses slowly, and extremely cautiously, re-open their doors.
We are happy to announce that over 70 of our beloved stores – most of which are independently owned – including clothing, interiors, gifts and more, as well as cafes, bars, restaurants, galleries, barbers, salons, and other services, are now open for business. To ease back into a new sense of normalcy, many will begin with reduced hours.
Find out what local favourite spots are open and their hours of operation here.
As we continue to find ways to serve you, while following social distancing measures, we ask that you act in kindness. Use our Open With Care signs as guidance that your health & well-being is collectively our main concern. More information on the province-wide initiative can be found here.
We also welcome you back with clean streets, fresh hanging flower pots, and a couple of new murals. Stay tuned through our @mygastown social media channels on other June happenings, store openings, and community initiatives.
If the last couple months have taught us anything, it is that Gastown is one resilient neighbourhood and that we are not going anywhere. We are much bigger than #mygastown. We are #ourgastown – and each and every one of you are a connecting piece.
Welcome back Gastown. We’ve missed you dearly and cannot wait to see you (from a distance) on the streets.
