Brioche Urban Baking & Catering

Brioche is one of the best cafes to take shelter from the cold weather, offering authentic West Coast Italian cooking, and divine in-house baked goods and pastries. This cozy cafe has fantastic soups made in house from scratch. One of the best is their chef’s signature dish, Cioppino Pescatore Hot Pot (pictured above), a tomato based shrimp bisque simmered with freshly seared wild salmon, basa, calamari, mussels, clams, tiger prawns and spinach. Cork & Fin is one of the best seafood restaurants in the city, offering restaurant goers a romantic dining atmosphere with exposed brick dining room, semi-private mezzanine, and candle-lit dining. Cork & Fin’s seasonally inspired dishes uses some of the city’s freshest scallops, oysters, and clam steamers. The family-owned, La Casita, offers authentic Mexican cuisine in a colourful and casual restaurant setting. Peckinpah should be at the top of your list for places with delicious, finger-licking grub. The restaurant located near Gassy Jack statue serves Carolina style BBQ along with delicious soups and stews. For a hearty stew try Peckinpah’s Brunswick Stew, a traditional North Carolina stew using smoked meats (brisket, pulled pork, and smoked chicken) with kernel corn and lima beans in a house-made chicken and tomato stock.
