For those that aren’t familiar with Coffeebar, this coffee shop is a local favourite with a beautiful view of Gaoler’s Mews Courtyard. This season, Coffeebar is serving their version of the Pumpkin Pie Latte. Our personal favourite is Coffebar’s hot chocolate a mix of melted vegan and gluten-free Vintage Plantations chocolates made with “Antigua Nacional” Ecuadorian cocoa beans. David’s Tea is like a Sweet Factory but for the tea world, offering plenty of fun flavours. Gastown social enterprise, East Van Roasters, is Vancouver’s first bean-to-bar chocolate factory serving organic bean-to-bar chocolate and coffee roasted and prepared on site. There are plenty of things to enjoy for anyone with a sweet tooth including hand rolled truffles, gluten free brownies with chocolate caramel sauce, and single-origin chocolate bars made in all sorts of flavours such as toffee and black sea-salt, and bing cherries with fig, almond, cranberry and pistachio or candied ginger. Take Five Cafe has been perfecting an original Salted Caramel Bourbon Latte concoction from their East Van kitchen. This limited edition holiday latte is made with custom roasted espresso, steamed milk, and a sublime Bourbon infusion with a hint of caramel and sea salt. The alcohol is burned off in the process, so don’t worry, this drink is not spiked! For a sweet bite, try their classic pumpkin tart, made with a trace of brandy and apricot glaze topping.
