There’s a feeling; almost a sense of duty that, when Tuesday rolls around, the fun’s kinda over and then it’s time to get serious. Well, the good news is there’s one more weekend left and in Gastown, we have it all.
Craft Beers, and Lagers and Ales Oh My!
Gastown is the top neighbourhood in the city to find Craft Beer. We have 17 places where you can find over 75 varieties of micro brewed and specially made craft beer. Where else in Vancouver can you find such a huge concentration of expertly made ale, from so many different places, poured fresh from the tap and now resting snug between your hands? Gastown is the place and Gassy Jack would have wanted it this way.
Patios are as much summer as popsicles and suntans and we hate to see them go. There are lots of patios in the neighbourhood; big ones and small ones and most are still a-go. Weather permitting, sit out at Chill Winston, Flying Pig, Six Acres, Jules Bistro, Incendio and Steamworks and enjoy it while it lasts.
Party on a Sunday Night you say?!
Yes! There are a couple of good Labour Day parties in Gastown this weekend.

I Want Candy!
Great! And for the adults, you’ll want dessert. Gastown has fantastic culinary artists creating awesome treats, sweets and eats to satisfy your sugar cravings. Many of our restaurants are crafting after dinner plates that are more than worth coming to the neighbourhood for. Check out this list to see what delights are on offer.
Art for Art’s Sake
When’s the last time you were on an art crawl? It can be really nice to do it solo or with a good friend and just go out to experience some culture. Gastown has a nice mix of native art with contemporary expression and a choice of 8 galleries to visit. Do it this weekend before life becomes too busy.
The Gastown Strut
Now there’s an idea! Come to the neighbourhood, grab a nice hot drink from one of our fine coffee shops and stroll along the streets, taking in the sights and all that Gastown has to offer.
