This week’s public health order resulted in immediate, sector-specific closures. The Gastown BIA, along with the BIA Partnership, support a more equitable and effective approach through the targeting of non-compliant businesses with harsher penalties. We believe that overall, business owners and staff have done an excellent job in complying with all of the new health and safety protocols put in place by our government and should not be measured by the actions of a few.
As a result, we have drafted a letter to Premier Horgan to support our respective member businesses during these economically challenging times. We hope to move forward in a collaborative & consultative way that takes into consideration the physical, mental and financial health of all British Columbians.
