As our businesses continue to #openwithcare, we have put together the following resources for our members. We are offering a series of safety materials, including floor + window decals, signage, face masks and sanitizer free for our members to collectively showcase that Gastown is cautiously following all WorkSafeBC guidelines, while welcoming customers back to #ourgastown after the COVID-19 pandemic.
In partnership with other BIA’s across BC, we believe it is important to have a unified branding of these collateral items for the following reasons:
- People don’t read every sign! Once they’ve read the sign once, they’ll recognize it visually at the next location.
- People will be more trusting of a professionally printed sign, and one they’ve seen repeatedly.
- The most important element of this messaging is your customer’s (+ staff’s) safety – standardized signage can imply you are also following standardized COVID-protocol.

Make Vancouver – New to the neighbourhood and printing and selling custom masks with our very own MAKE Original Mask Designs. They have also partnered up with KidSafe Vancouver (www.kidsafe.ca) and will be donating 1 mask for every mask purchased in store (when they open) or online. Visit their website to see designs.
WeAir – Support local + give back to our community. For every pack sold WeAir will donate masks to the DTES organizations that work the front lines nurturing the homeless, mentally challenged and addicted every single day.

Hand Sanitizer:

Gastown Soap Works – Officially licensed to make and sell sanitizer by Health Canada, support your soap works neighbours. Limited quantities available.
