Now a regularly working jazz trio in the Vancouver area, this group evolved out of the desire to explore some common ground within their collective musical tastes.  With a constant emphasis on groove, melodic and rhythmic interplay, and chance-taking, this trio continues to mine an ever-growing  repertoire of  jazz classics, tunes from the American Songbook and original compositions with a forward thinking view, yet always with a deep sense of swing, immediacy, warmth, connection and reverence for the history of the music.

The Kane/Wilson Quintet consists of Daniel Miles Kane-tenor sax, Tony Wilson-guitar, Raphael Geronimo-congas Russell Sholberg-bass, and Kai Basanta-drums. The band has been together for 2 years and they play Afro/Latin Jazz featuring tunes by artists such as Freddie Hubbard, and Lee Morgan to name a few. Their music is high energy and is dancing is encouraged.

Traveling from Germany for this one-day event on the invitation of the German Consulate General in Vancouver, Chef Boris Lauser will be creating a 5-course menu crafted with only purest organic, vegan, raw ingredients mainly shopped from local farmers focusing on local and seasonal ingredients.

Boris Lauser founder of b.alive!, has trained at the world’s most renowned schools for raw food, including the Tree of Life and the Matthew Kenney Academy in the United States.

Chef Boris Lauser has held pop up dinners from Berlin to Bali, Thailand, U.S., Austria and all across Europe. Together with a vast network of friends around the globe, Chef Boris Lauser does his very best to bring fabulous culinary creations, raw food spirit, and good vibes to as many corners of the planet as possible.

Adam Robert Thomas is a JUNO Nominated performer and producer from Vancouver, BC. His 2018 self-titled album hit #11 on the US Soul and R&B charts – Roots Music Report. His sound is soulful and funky, with hints of Ray Charles, Al Green and Stevie Wonder. On the 2nd floor of the Water St Café in historic Gastown, is an intimate performance and dinner space ideal for a special evening of entertainment. Adam will be performing two sets of music (7:15pm and 8:45pm) with his guitars duo. $5 cover charge per set per person. Reservations highly recommended as seating is limited. For each guest that joins us a $5 per set Support Live Music contribution will be collected and given to the artists performing that evening for each set enjoyed by the guest.
