Big Hearts in Gastown: Aveda Hosting Annual Celebration for Clean Water
Clean water is something we take for granted. Aveda Institute is on a quest to help provide access to the planet’s most precious resource to those in need.

Over the past six years, Aveda has been committed to supporting WaterCan. The Canadian charity, WaterCan works on small scale, community projects in partnership with organizations in Eastern Africa to help the world’s most underprivileged people gain access to clean water, basic sanitation and hygiene education.
To help raise funds for this great cause, Aveda Institute is hosting an annual Celebration for Clean Water––a cocktail party and live auction at their Gastown institute (111 Water Street) happening on Saturday, April 12, 8:30-11:30 p.m.
This grand celebration will include wine tasting tables and an exciting fashion show with hairstyling and makeup artistry by Aveda artists. Hosts Sharad and Nisha Khare will take you through a fun evening highlighting fashion and beauty with signature cocktails, savory appetizers, live DJ music and fabulous silent auction items.
Tickets are $25 in advance, or $30 at the door and include one wine tasting ticket. All proceeds will go towards WaterCan’s clean water projects.
