BODE Trunk Show
Now open at 51 Powell Street, Vancouver
Until December 22, Neighbour presents a new collection launch by New York-established, American designer and textile antiquarian, Emily Adams Bode. Recent runner-up of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, the eponymous Bode label has ascended to the forefront of contemporary American fashion, by focusing on unique historical methods to garment-making and fabric-sourcing. To accompany the collection, Bode also delivers an offering of small found objects and 24kt jewelry by Jean Prounis, whose ancient gold-smithing techniques mirror Bode’s old world approach to design. The interior installation includes furniture by frequent collaborator, Green River Project LLC, on display and available on a made to order basis.
Neighbour is one of Bode’s select few stockists worldwide, and the only in Canada.
The installation will run at 51 Powell Street until December 22nd:
Thursday – Saturday, Monday: 11am-7pm
Sunday: 12-6pm

51 Powell Street is Neighbours newest retail concept for seasonal homewares, print publications, apothecary and found objects.
The space also allows Neighbour to spotlight the work of designers and artists, to offer an experience of not only garments or accessory collections, but perhaps a deeper view into the personality and idiosyncrasies of the makers. Temporary residency by designers will take place on a seasonal basis, working with Neighbour to create special interior installations and exclusive items available to the public.
